Dr. Yoji Akao was Professor of Yamanashi University and Professor of Asahi University, Dr. Yoji Akao is member of International Academy for Quality (1989- ), President of Japanese Society for Quality Control,(1990-1991), Chairman of International Council for QFD,(1997-) and Honorary consultant of the association for Quality Function Deployment of China 2005.
He received "Quality Control Literature Prize" from the Nippon Keizai, Shinbun-Sha (1960 and 1978), "Deming Prize" from Committee of Deming Prize in JUSE(1978) and " ASQ' Distinguished Service Medal" from ASQ in 2001 and "Shainin Medal" from ASQ in 2007.

Mr. Georg Herzwurm is a distinguished professor of information systems at the University of Stuttgart, Germany and has been actively involved in promoting QFD for more than 10 years. In addition to applying QFD in various projects, he also teaches QFD to his university students and to practitioners. While Georg¡¯s main focus is on the use of QFD in software development, he also applied QFD in the development of services and towards the selection of standard software packages. Ms. Veronica Gonzalez-Bosch is member of the International Council for QFD and is the co-founder of the Latin American QFD Society whose mission is to be an active space to promotes the deployment and application of QFD in Latin America. In 2004 she was selected "Face of Quality" by the American Society of Quality (ASQ) due to her professional and academic achievements.
Veronica has collaborated in several QFD projects for companies such as Cervecer¨ªa Cuauht¨¦moc Moctezuma (improve beer sales in soccer games), Sony (improve customer service for VAIO, WEGA, call centers and the web page), Honda Plaza car dealers (improve sale and service processes) and currently working with Lamosa, a ceramic floor tiles company.

Dr. Robert Hunt, Associate Professor, has been an advocate and researcher on Quality Function Deployment (QFD) for almost 20 years.
His research for which he was awarded the Akao Prize® in 2002 has shown that through the consideration of stakeholders as well as customers QFD can be applied to strategy as well as innovation. Professor Hunt's Centre for Management Innovation and Technology at Macquarie University has been a focus of QFD activity in Australasia and South East Asia. He is a founding member of the International Council for QFD.
