The 2025 Annual Meeting of Global Excellence Council (GEC) was held on December 2 in Beijing. The meeting was hosted by China Association for Quality (CAQ) and brought together representatives of quality award organizations from 11 countries and regions, including China, the United States, Europe, South Africa, Australia, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, India, Malaysia, and Spain.

During the meeting, CAQ and 11 GEC member organizations—including the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program of the United States, European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and Dubai Government Excellence Program—conducted in-depth exchanges on the development, achievements, and challenges of performance excellence programs in their respective regions.

Participants also discussed emerging topics such as the application of artificial intelligence in the management and evaluation processes of quality award programs. Representatives shared the latest developments, best practices, and key initiatives related to performance excellence models, including evaluation criteria, tools and methodologies, reporting systems, and recognition mechanisms.

The meeting also identified priorities for future collaboration among GEC members, particularly in the areas of information sharing and joint research.

CAQ will continue to strengthen cooperation with global performance excellence organizations, actively introduce and promote international best practices, and further advance the development of performance excellence, innovation, sustainable development, and national quality award programs toward greater professionalism and internationalization.
