The 30th International Conference of the Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO) was held in Beijing on October 15–16, 2025. Hosted by China Association for Quality (CAQ), the conference was themed “Quality Pathway for the Future.” Representatives from quality organizations, academia, and industry across 16 countries gathered to discuss the future development of quality in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

In his remarks, APQO President Abraham Fenn highlighted that over the past 40 years, APQO has grown into a dynamic community dedicated to continuous improvement and value creation. Facing challenges such as technological disruption, sustainability, and global competition, he emphasized the importance of adaptive and people-centered quality thinking for the future.

During the opening ceremony, a special event marked the 40th anniversary of APQO. Core Council members attending the conference, including representatives from CAQ, American Society for Quality (ASQ), the New Zealand Organization for Quality, and the Sri Lanka Association for Quality, jointly signed the “Beijing Declaration for the 40th Anniversary of APQO.” The declaration emphasizes strengthening cooperation and promoting quality as a common language connecting industries, societies, and future development.

The conference featured keynote speeches, parallel forums, and APQO award ceremonies, including the Global Performance Excellence Award. Participants shared research papers and best practices on topics such as digital transformation, Industry 4.0, quality innovation, and sustainable development. The event provided an important platform for knowledge exchange and regional cooperation in advancing quality.

At the closing ceremony, a flag handover marked the transition to the next host. The 31st APQO International Conference will be held in Indonesia in October 2026.
