The Award Ceremony of 2023 International Quality Innovation Award (QIA) was held on April 11, 2024, in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China. More than 150 representatives from China, Finland, Spain, Israel, Switzerland, Thailand, and other countries attended the event. The meeting was supported by Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliances Co., Ltd.

At the opening ceremony, Mr Jia Fuxing, President of China Association for Quality (CAQ), delivered welcome remarks, and Dong Mingzhu, Chairwoman and President of Gree Electric Appliances, gave a keynote speech. Awards were presented to winning projects, and representatives from 22 organizations shared their innovation practices.

A total of 562 projects participated in the 2023 competition. After national and regional selection, 39 projects advanced to the international stage, and 24 projects received international awards. The Grand Prize – Innovation of Innovations this year was awarded to the project “AI application for identifying and helping to prevent insect damage in forests” by Metsä Group and CollectiveCrunch from Finland, and “Research and Application on a Forefront New-Type Crystallization Technology for Cefotaxime Sodium” by NCPC Hebei Huamin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd from China.
